Fall Clothing Love [Mens]

Though less celebrated than ladies fashion, mens style seems to be making a comeback. Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems like we have turned away from the “styles” that called for less upkeep, and are moving back toward men that do their hair in the morning, and that put more than work out clothes on every day. There is a part in the classic movie, Clueless, where Cherdescribes “90s guys” perfectly, making fun of their baggy jeans and of covering up their “greasy hair” with a ball cap.

I don't think there should be so much heat between the guys who claim to represent class, versus the guys who claim to have swag. If you're polished and stylish, it's probably attractive to the type of girl you like so who gives a hoot?

In conjunction with my love for guys smoking, which I posted about under Smoking Hott Men, I also have a thing for tattoos. I don't have any myself, although I probably would if I had the money, but it just has to be the bad boy effect. The image of a guy smoking and/or with tats doesn't make you scream “he will be a great father of my children!!” but for a good girl like me, it makes me want to break some rules and whip out my I'm-BA hair styles.

Side note: the 2003 movie Sylvia (about Sylvia Plath) is a great great watch. It is very dark and romantic and has both Gwyneth Paltrow and Daniel Craig so it is great acting.

Smoking Hott Men

Lately, I have noticed a trend in my men's fashion pins on Pinterest. Obviously suits are displayed there profusely because a man in a suit is to a woman as a woman in lingerie is to a man. Suits are sexy. But I have noticed something else catching my eye recently, and it took a great article on AllWomenStalk.com to make me realize it.

The article was about common fetishes. While I would not call this a fetish, it definitely has a draw for me. I have always been drawn to photography of people smoking, but because of my upbringing had always avoided hanging out with smokers. Now that I don't give a hoot who does what as long as they have integrity in their lives, I have found that I really enjoy watching people smoke.

A while back I told my guy that it was a shame he was trying to quit because I would love to take pictures of him smoking. Well, the pictures never happened, but I am still apparently drawn to photography of men smoking and just think it is sexy. Don't judge. I also am beginning to do some deep meditation on whether or not I find tattoos attractive (this is sarcasm, of course I do).
