You will probably get very tired of hearing this every Wednesday, but I am so very excited to decorate and arrange a new place when I move for graduate school. By the way, I have been accepted at both East Tennessee State and Burren.

The thing about home is it the perfect blend of a concrete and abstract idea. Where is home? Home is where the heart is. Home is where they have to accept you. Where we love is home. Make yourself feel at home.
Can you have more than one home? Can home be a time? A person? I feel at home on the road, in my bed, in the studio, with my best friend, in my car, in the kitchen, at night, in a book, and in the woods. I felt at home in my apartment, but it seems like that time has passed. I felt at home in Texas, but that too seems to have passed.
A problem on my mind lately is how do you make a home for two? Playing with this idea has really brought to mind the secret bond between the abstract and concrete meanings of what a home is. Both people have to feel comfortable, but more than that. Both have to feel responsible. Ownership. Respect. Unity. Represented. Making a home is more than having a floor plan, it's having a game plan . . . and patience and understanding.
I cannot even begin to express how excited I am for graduation and everything that comes after. But being at home is like being happy: if you make it your destination you will never be satisfied. Home is about time. It's about finding home in your heart, right now.
So. On with the show! Because I feel at home in the kitchen, even when it's someone else's kitchen and I want to throw things because I'm so lost and at home at the same time, I have rounded up a few recipes for a day of home eating.
PS. One thing that the northern states have definitely done right is comfort food recipes.

So it turns out that it is really difficult to keep up with writing when I'm taking so many classes. Therefore, I made myself come up with a schedule of what will happen on what days, not as a commitment to write every day, but as a helpful push which will encourage me to write by already having a topic assigned depending on what day of the week it is.
Mondays will be Art day. This includes write up on my Favorite Artists (a few previous ones can be found by clicking the link), on pieces I have seen recently that really struck a chord, and on my own artwork. Hopefully some day soon this will also broaden to show reviews once I move out of Findlay.
Tuesdays will be for Travel. I love dreaming about where my next adventures will happen. I would love to share with you all the beautiful places I want to go.
Wednesdays are Home days. I will round up great images of home decor, furniture, and ideas that inspire me. I have watched this on several blogs I follow and absolutely love the days when they post. Check out Espacio Vital.
Thursdays we will explore the Do-It-Yourself world. I will post recent projects I have taken on as well as share projects that other bloggers have posted that I find especially useful or intriguing.
Friday will be Fun day. I love posting some well needed funnies to begin my relaxation for the weekend.
Saturday is a Style day. On Saturdays I will show you some of my favorite outfits of my week, ongoing trends, and great ways to spruce up any ensemble.

Well, I'm back in Findlay, Ohio. I
never thought I could be so happy to be here, but I really am. It's
nice to be in a place where you know the roads, where all of the
McDonald's are, and where you know people.
It took me two hours to unpack my car,
and I'm taking a break from putting everything away to write this. It
was really nice to walk in to my apartment and see all of the changes
I made at the beginning of the summer. I think I literally walked in
and said you're so pretty!! (yes,
I talk to my apartment, apparently).
Now I
have a couple weeks before classes start again and I actually feel
ready for my senior year. I'm taking a few courses outside of my
major that I am legitimately excited about and a bunch inside my
major that I'm super pumped for.
This
is kind of a funny moment. I'm sitting on my bed surrounded by mounds
of clothing, my foot propped up on a new comforter set and Beyonce's Smash Into You
in the background. Life is good.
